Susan Schwartz takes us through the unrequited love story of a daughter and an absent father, the topic of her book "The absent father effect on daughters’’. Themes explored include deprivation and unmet needs, generational and cultural influences and the overall effect on body, mind and soul of daughters with absent fathers.
This lecture is an exploration of the historical roots of the still prevailing prejudice that exists towards Traditional Healing Practitioners in South Africa. Vella Maseko and Nompumelelo Prudence Kubeka draw from their personal experiences and documented history to reflect on how indigenous healing practices and African spirituality have had to adapt.
Creative inner work can be a valuable tool in therapy. In this workshop the focus will be on the practical and theoretical background to the creative process, as found in medicinal stories from around the world. Series runs on Saturdays from 9am to 1 pm on 21 and 28 August, and 4 September.
